We are thrilled to announce that Katie Chung has joined the Candor team as Studio Projects Manager! Working with our team and authors, Katie will be heavily involved in the production and design processes of our published books and growing line of handmade products. Her thorough experience and proficiency in design, bookmaking, printmaking, and education makes for a profound addition to our efforts at Candor Arts. Needless to say, we are psyched!

Katie Chung is a maker born, raised and based in Chicago, IL. Her process celebrates the marriage of art and design and exists through the forms of books, prints, illustration and more recently sculpture. She enjoys exploring the ideas of humanity, reality and humor. In 2014 she earned her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in printmaking and graphic design. She has exhibited work around the city of Chicago as well as internationally during Milan Design Week (2014). She has worked in institutions like the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chicago and The Art Institute of Chicago. She has also worked in local art studios such as North Branch Projects (2013) and Chicago Printmakers Collaborative (2015). Katie currently teaches adult and youth classes in printmaking, bookbinding, drawing, and design for Lillstreet Art Center and Marwen.
